Sry I dont speak dutch but this forum is great

Anyways. I have a flexer eu25 2006. Airsal 50cc kit and a DMP cylinder head. Question is: Do I need the cylinder head gasket wich is 1.0mm thick?

Yes you need a gasket

You can try it whitout the gasket, but check if the piston is not hitting the cylinder head.
whitout gasket will result in more compression = more power =)

But if the piston is hitting the head it doesn't have much use, hehe.
Nice to see some foreigners around here though, at least that shows how great Tomos is.

As people say: Try it. If it's possible to use it without the gasket it's okay. But if it starts ticking against the head it's a big NO.

I thought Quadro came without head gasket from factory? Or maybe it is thinner?
This is my moped. It's not finished yet. But see the dutch inspired orange springs, and later there will be "TOMOS" in orange painted on the sides

I have made a thinner copy (got help at a factory), wich is 0.5mm instead of 1.0mm. Both in aluminium. Will try that first Or somehow measure the distance between the piston and head.....

No idea if the DMP head has same measurement as eu45/quadro. I got 9Kg of compression now, instead of 5 before btw.
I'm not that far away... I'm swedish, but tomos is cool

It's kinda far away.. Hehe. But still, if everyone knew Tomos was great.. That'd be a better world wouldn't it?

Anyhow, if you just put the cylinderhead on and give it a light kick, and it ticks; you know not to use it without gasket. But if it just works it's okay. Tell us what you did, that's always handy to know. :p

Didn't work.. the piston hitted the sparkplug. So I went back to the 1mm gasket. I think I need to upjet also... higher comp=upjet?

Original parts for all Tomos ever sold here is easy obtained. But worse on tuning parts...

I see.. Must suck that you're having a hard time to get all the tuning parts. I mean I have, in a 10 kilometer radius, about 5 differnet shops for it.

And what exactly do you mean with the higher comp?
I think everything should be working properly with the 1mm gasket.

Tomos is a small brand here, so most shops don't have tuning parts for it

Before I had the original eu25 cylinder head and 5 kg compression. Now with DMP head I got 9 kg.
It was running rich before.. but guessing it's running lean now instead

Depends. How does your spark plug look by now?

Is it black: Running too rich.
Is it white: Running too low.
Is it coffee with milk: ( so brown-ish ) then it's okay.

I haven't tried it yet. Will a plug chop work with a used spark plug or do I need a new one? And does it need to cool down to get the correct color?

Crap! The angle from the Airsal exhaust port is very different. Had a gap at the back, where the pipe is connected

Nope, different exhaust port angle, like between A5 and A55 cylinder. See his other topic. Probably an Airsal for Puch or so.
