So as I had wrote before, one of my two mopeds is an apn7. I bought it for around 220 euros. First impression were not perfect but I'm happy about finding one at all. This moped is made-as far as I know-after the apn4 was discontinued,in times when apn6 where in producting, for the 30th anniversary of the tomos plant. They were made strongly based on the apn4,and only in year 1986.I don't know how much of them were produced (if someone knows that data please share it with me).The only differences between the apn4 and apn7 are:
1 It has a cross bar on the handle bar.
2 Metal net in front of the front light.
3 Tachometer (apn4 don't have it).
4 Chromed and polished parts.

Yeah you probably noticed, that I dont really speak some perfect english, not to mention special words and terms like names of parts, probably that " Metal net in front of the front light." has some proper english name but I don't know it....

You probably refer to the headlamp mesh or grille as far as i know it's called.

No problem your english is fine. We as native Dutchmen don't always find the correct words. It's like Van Gaal with his poor spoken English but at least he tries and most of the journalists understand. So don't be dicouraged if you can't find the words as long as you can discribe the itwm(s).

Btw. Your picture is not showing.

Ok. That's pretty old. In Holland that model was sold under the name 3TL and after that 4TL (by the number of gears). The 4TL was more luxurious like your APN7. We like to call them in Dutch "eitje" (egg) because of the shape of the fueltank. Puch had a similar model in production in those periods. Mostly the Tomos TL mopeds were sold in Saphire black with spoke wheels. Mostly the owners put some fancy dressing on there mopeds, e.g. foxtails or bunnyfeet. Yeah, those were the 60's.

Interesting thing about the number off gears,in former yugoslavia were no any apn-s with 3 speed gearbox, just 4-5. But the apn series were and are very common here in serbia, you can see about 5-10 off them on the roads every day. This was the last series in production with that old frame, which is known to be undestructible! Mine have a lots of damadged and non operating parts (tachometer, lights etc) and slowly but surely gona be rapaired to be as brabd new :)

P.S. what is a "foxtail" and "bunnyfeet"?

I'm sorry. Got a bit confused by Puch, that one had 3 speed manual gear. The 4TL had 4 gears in first types, later they added an extra gear (so it's a 5 gear) in later models. As I was told, the 4 gear was much more robust than the 5 gearbox wich had a lot of problems with bearings and selectorforks. Only difference between Tomos and Puch models was the selectorswitch. On the Tomos you can shift with your foot. On the Puch model it had a handgrip and cable to shift gears. Btw. I see that your APN7 has a buddy seat. It wasn't an option on the 4TL. Only a 1 person seat and luggage carrierer. The hight of the steer was like a chopper and a cross section between the handlebars
