I'm just getting to grips with these 2 stroke engines, since i'm used to working on cars they make no sense to me! haha. It seems you can be very relaxed with tolerances compared with what i'm used to working on, although, I am TOTALLY lost with regards to more advanced tuning of the ports!
Anyway, of the few 1000000000000s of idea's that go through my head every moment i stare at my new (old rusty) Tomos, one of them was with regards to cooling the head and block.
Has anyone seen or used an oil or water cooled head / block on one of these A3 / A35 engines? I've seen swaps for things like Mallossi? but nothing modified so far.
I'm just wondering what the options are... currently i am considering making my own head / block using CNC, just for a bit of fun really!
Any ideas on the subject are welcome!
edit - The point of this is that I am looking at an all aluminium head and block running a liner with a cooling jacket, rather than the very heavy lump of Iron currently attached to the bike!
